School Profile

The International Division of Shanghai Foreign Language School (SFLS) Affiliated to Shanghai International Studies University is among the first international divisions approved by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. We optimize the available resources at SFLS and construct our curriculum system based on advanced educational philosophies from both home and abroad. Tailored courses are provided to meet the needs of students who choose different pathways for their further studies. Multiple language courses are offered to support students of diverse cultural backgrounds.

Prospective Students

2.Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students (Permanent Residents)

3.Chinese students with valid overseas Permanent Resident Card (certified by Education Commission)

4.Chinese students with valid overseas birth certificate

5.Students holding Chinese passports but are children of foreigners living and working in Shanghai; Students holding Chinese passports but are children of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents

Enrolling Grades

1.Junior Preparatory Grade (Grade 6)

2.Senior One (Grade 10)

3.A limited number of transferred students from any other grade level

Admission Procedure

1.Apply by phone or E-mail.

2.Take an Admission Assessment on Open Day.

3.Admission Assessment consists of three written tests: Chinese, Mathematics and English as well as a one-on-one interview.

4.The admission result will be released within a week.
